Cuts like natural sheepskin but finishes like a foam pad Foamed fibers resist caking and mattingPerfect for use with Britemax metal polishesLake Countrys Foamed Wool 4 inch buffing spot pad is made to overcome some common inconveniences of natural wool pads. First of all, the Foamed Wool pad is made of synthetic wool, which lasts longer than natural wool and produces less lint. The foam particles encapsulate the base of the wool to make the fibers stand up. This creates a tighter, thicker pile. Ultimately the Foamed Wool Pad provides more cushion between the backing plate and your vehicles paint.Foamed Wool also creates tiny air pockets at the base of the wool fibers. This is essentially trapped air that improves the cushioning provided by the pad and the retention of compounds and polishes. Just like the cells of foam absorb products, these minute air pockets retain products so none is wasted.
The Lake Country Prewashed white lambswool knitted pad is slightly less aggressive than the Purple Foamed wool pad.Using a proprietary process, lambswool is knitted into a synthetic backing material. The pad is then prewashed which "blossoms" the individual fibers. The result is a nearly lint-free pad which will not matt down as quickly as other wool pads. Best of all, the pad quickly produces a high gloss finish...during the polishing stage.
Slow rate of polish absorbtionImproves operator controlPrevents pad skippingCreates less heatFor use with both Rotary & DA machinesRecommended by Britemax Cutting pad for compounds to remove heavy oxidation, swirls and scratches.Conventional foam pads absorb polish too quickly. This reduces polish and pad performance because most of the polish is trapped below the working surface of the pad. CCS technology (collapsed cell structure) solves this common problem using stategic patterns of partially closed foam cells.Priming Instructions:When placing the pad on your machine, it is very important to "prime" the pad, also known as "seasoning". It is done by misting a dry pad one or two times before use. You never want to use a dry pad on the surface. this will make everything work a lot better as a system. Simple priming can be done with tap water or with a QD spray. You do it once at the beginning of your polishing. After the pad has polish on it, it is good to go.
